- - HAYWARD, Calif., August 14, 2001--Starwire Corporation, a Web-based network service provider, today announced the appointment of Robin Pou as Chief Operations Officer to oversee daily operations and direct inter-departmental goals within the corporation.

Before coming to Starwire, Robin Pou served as the Vice President of eBusiness Operations of Gaylord Digital, the Internet Division of Gaylord Entertainment (NYSE:GET). At Gaylord, Pou managed and was responsible for the online business strategies as well as all aspects of the digital supply chain including a state-of-the-art eFulfillment center that shipped music-related product for the companys eCommerce transactions. In 1998 as a principal, Pou also served as Vice President of Product Development and General Counsel of MusicForce.com before selling the venture to Gaylord Entertainment in the summer of 1999. From 1994 to 1998, Pou practiced law as an attorney in both Texas and California and focused on corporate law and business litigation.
