Impact Entertainment and Starwire Corporation Lead EXTREMEDAYS Promotional Efforts

Tulsa, Okla., and HAYWARD, Calif., September 19, 2001— “EXTREMEDAYS” is just days away from its nationwide theater debut. This independent film, presented by Providence Entertainment and Truth Soul Armor, is an action-packed coming-of-age film that teenagers and young adults will find humorous, heart-warming, and highly entertaining. Like so many popular teen-centric films today, “EXTREMEDAYS” features spoofs, embarrassing moments, and love gone awry. But there’s one big difference between “EXTREMEDAYS” and other teen films: it lacks offensive language, disturbing violence, and gratuitous sex scenes. “EXTREMEDAYS” aims to be entertaining, exhilarating, and amusing, while maintaining standards that promote ethical behavior for young adults. Howard Kazanjian, who produced Return of the Jedi, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and several other blockbuster movies, was brought in to executive produce “EXTREMEDAYS."

Impact Entertainment (http://www.impactentertainment.com), an entertainment marketing and film production company, has developed and implemented a yearlong grass roots and promotional campaign. Impact has partnered with Starwire Corporation (http://www.starwire.com) a Web-based network service provider, to promote the film via the Internet by building an additional movie Web site, http://www.extremedaysnetwork.com. Starwire will also be promoting the film through one of its key networks, http://home.christianity.com, in order to encourage various youth organizations to get behind the film.

“'EXTREMEDAYS’ is an adventure film intended to encourage viewers to take risks and enjoy life, and to discover who they are and how their relationships define them,” said Marc Harper, Impact Entertainment’s National Director for “EXTREMEDAYS.” “It is action-packed, yet meaningful at the same time.”

“EXTREMEDAYS” is a high-energy road trip adventure with four guys, all best friends, and one female cousin, Jesse. Together, these characters share a passion for extreme sports and zany stunts, and they have an unforgettable road trip of a lifetime filled with fun and friendships.
In order to gain visibility for this film, “EXTREMEDAYS” is sponsoring MTV’s TRL (Total Request Live) on September 27. Additionally, the cast members of “EXTREMEDAYS” will host ESPN’s coverage of the XBS Surfing Competition, which will air on ESPN September 26, and on ESPN2 September 29. Also, Champs Sports is currently running the “EXTREMEDAYS” trailer on in-store televisions nationwide, along with window and countertop displays to promote the film.

“Starwire is interested in supporting projects that provide quality entertainment and promote strong values,” said Dave Jaworski, President and CEO of Starwire. “We feel that “EXTREMEDAYS” is a quality film, and we’re excited to help unify organizations across the country and get behind such important work.”

“Starwire is running a special online contest on http://www.extremedaysnetwork.com where they will be asking visitors to see the movie and then answer insider questions about the movie in order to win one of five valuable “EXTREMEDAYS” Road Trip Prize Packs. There is also a national contest currently running at www.extremedays.com/contest. This contest is being promoted through teen sites such as www.goosehead.comwww.bluetorch.com, and www.alloy.com.

The cast of “EXTREMEDAYS” includes Dante Basco (“Hook”), Ryan Browning (“The Intern”), A.J. Buckley (“Disturbing Behavior”), Derek Hamilton (“Ninja Turtles”), and features the up-and-coming Cassidy Rae (“Models, Inc.” and “Crowned and Dangerous”). The movie is matched with a powerful 17-song soundtrack featuring some of the hottest alternative artists such as P.O.D. (#1 on MTV’s TRL), tobyMAC, Tait, Bleach, and Pax217. “EXTREMEDAYS” is produced by Norann Entertainment and TRICOR Entertainment, and is directed by Eric Hannah.
